NUMSA says DRC President Kabila has no Legitimacy to Govern

By Staff Reporter

INTERNATIONALIST and revolutionary labour movement, the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) says Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Joseph Kabila has no legitimacy and therefore no right to continue being head of state.

In a statement yesterday, NUMSA expressed solidarity with the people of the DRC in their struggle to rid themselves of the repressive regime of President Kabila.

“Numsa condemns Kabila and his administration for the brutality and violence which has been meted out against the people of that country. He has no legitimacy and therefore has no right to govern,” reads the statement.

The organization demanded that Kabila be removed immediately and that all political prisoners be released.
