Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi says labour unions remain a key stakeholder in helping grow the economy.
Speaking at a luncheon he hosted this afternoon for public sector labour union leaders , President Masisi said there is need for unions to work together with the government for the good of the country.
He said labour unions’ contrubition was critical considering their capacity to promote participation of workers in driving goverment programs and strategies designed for employment creation.
Masisi said the government was committed to ensuring that Barganing Council is set up, and gets operational by September 2018.
